Demand pricing: charge by date
Raise prices on peak dates (weddings, festivals, weekends) or offer discounts on quiet dates. Customers see the adjusted price on your calendar.
What is demand pricing?
A pricing rule applies a multiplier to your normal prices on certain dates. 1.5× means 50% more; 0.8× means 20% off. When a customer checks a date on your profile, they see the adjusted price.
| Example rule | Multiplier | Effect on ₹20,000 |
|---|---|---|
| Wedding season, Nov–Feb | 1.5× | ₹30,000 |
| Every Saturday & Sunday | 1.2× | ₹24,000 |
| Diwali week, every year | 2× | ₹40,000 |
| Monsoon weekdays | 0.8× | ₹16,000 |
Add a pricing rule
- Step 1: Open Calendar and find Demand pricing. Click Add rule.
- Step 2: Give it an optional label (e.g. Wedding season).
- Step 3: Choose the dates: a range, specific weekdays, or dates that repeat every year.
- Step 4: Set the multiplier and click Save pricing.
Tap any date on your calendar to see Price on this date. Past rules are greyed out; remove a rule with Remove pricing rule.
How rules combine
- If several of your rules cover the same date, the most recently added one applies.
- Gathric may also set platform seasonal rules for a profession or city (for example peak wedding dates). These multiply with yours.
- The combined multiplier is limited to between 0.1× and 10×, and prices are rounded to whole rupees.
